Madras High Court Upholds Appointment of District Judges as Tamil Nadu Lokayukta Secretary - (07 Sep 2026)

Madras High Court has upheld the amendment permitting serving and retired District Judges to be appointed as Tamil Nadu Lokayukta Secretary, holding that Section 9(1) sets only a minimum seniority requirement and does not bar eligible judicial officers.
