Supreme Court: Informant’s Consent is Not Required to Quash a Case Settled With the Victim - (01 Sep 2026)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court held that criminal proceedings involving non-compoundable offences may be quashed after settlement with the actual victim, and the consent of an informant who is not the victim is not required.
