Kerala HC: Christian Women May File Divorce Pleas Where They Reside - (20 Aug 2026)

Kerala HC ruled that Christian women can institute divorce proceedings before courts having jurisdiction over their place of residence under Section 3 of the Divorce Act, allowing them to seek divorce without being restricted to other territorial jurisdictions.
