SC Condemns Witch-Hunting, Says Superstition Continues to Override Constitutional Morality - (14 Aug 2026)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has expressed deep concern over the persistence of witch-hunting in India, observing that superstition, prejudice and irrational fear continue to override the rule of law, exposing vulnerable women to brutal violence and social ostracisation.
