Madras HC Rejects Election Petition Challenging Colachel MLA Tharahai Cuthbert - (14 Aug 2026)

ELECTION

Madras High Court dismissed a petition challenging the election of MLA Tharahai Cuthbert from Colachel, observing that voters ultimately decide whom to elect and a candidate’s belief that public service should have secured more votes cannot justify questioning the counting process.
