Supreme Court: Trading While Holding Confidential Information Indicates Insider Trading - (12 Aug 2026)

CAPITAL MARKET

Supreme Court held that trading in securities while possessing UPSI attracts the presumption of insider trading under the SEBI Regulations, regardless of profit or loss. It allowed SEBI’s appeal and restored its order against Tara Jewels Ltd.’s promoters.
