Bombay High Court: The Notion of a "Perfect Victim" in Rape Cases is a Myth - (07 Aug 2026)

CRIMINAL

Bombay High Court, while convicting Tarun Tejpal in the 2013 rape case, rejected the notion that victims must behave in a particular way to be credible. The Court criticised the trial court for disbelieving the victim and accepting claims about her character.
