Supreme Court Directs Centre to Issue Environmental Compensation Norms under SWM Rules 2026 - (05 Aug 2026)

ENVIRONMENT

Supreme Court outlined key principles for assessing environmental compensation under the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, and directed the Centre to issue detailed guidelines. It stressed that the priority must now be effective implementation through strong institutional mechanisms.
