Supreme Court: Ad Valorem Court Fees Apply to Appeals Seeking Statutory Land Acquisition Benefits - (03 Aug 2026)

CIVIL

Supreme Court ruled that an appeal under the Land Acquisition Act seeking exclusion of statutory benefits from compensation, without disputing the compensation amount itself, must be accompanied by ad valorem court fees under Section 8 of the Court Fees Act.
