Bombay HC: False Travel Distance Claim Alone Doesn't Constitute Misappropriation - (31 Jul 2026)

Bombay High Court held that an incorrect travel distance claim for transport allowance alone does not constitute misappropriation. It added that courts may interfere with a dismissal if mitigating circumstances exist and the punishment is shockingly disproportionate to the misconduct proved.
