SC: Successive Impleadment Applications are Barred by Res Judicata under Different CPC Provisions - (29 Jul 2026)

CIVIL

Supreme Court held that a second impleadment application under Order XXII Rule 10 CPC is barred by res judicata if an earlier plea under Order I Rule 10 was rejected on merits and both applications involve the same parties, cause of action, and relief before a competent court.
