Supreme Court: States with Under 1,000 Consumer Cases Can Abolish Select District Commissions - (27 Jul 2026)

CONSUMER

Supreme Court clarified that States with fewer than 1,000 pending consumer cases may abolish certain District Consumer Commissions and assign their functions to serving judicial officers, subject to the prior approval of the concerned High Court.
