SC Orders Bihar Government to Remove Ganga Riverbank Encroachments in Patna Within Six Weeks - (24 Jul 2026)

CIVIL

Supreme Court gave the Bihar government six weeks to remove all unauthorised structures and encroachments between Nauzar Ghat and Nurpur Ghat along the Ganga in Patna. It directed that the order be enforced regardless of any interim orders passed by the High Court or district courts.
