Gujarat HC: Whatsapp Forward of Fake Newspaper Clipping Not Forgery Absent Proof of Fabrication - (24 Jul 2026)

Gujarat High Court ruled that sharing a fake newspaper clipping through WhatsApp cannot by itself amount to forgery in the absence of proof that the sender created or falsified it, and therefore quashed the FIR registered against the accused.
