Supreme Court: Terror Cases Cannot Curtail Constitutional Safeguards and the Right to Fair Trial - (22 Jul 2026)

CRIMINAL

SC reaffirmed that constitutional safeguards & right to fair trial remain inviolable even in terrorism cases. It observed that while attacks on innocent civilians evoke fear & public outrage, such prosecutions demand stricter adherence to constitutional principles, not relaxation of legal standards.
