Delhi HC: Parents Fined Rs.2 Lakh over False Birth Date for School Admission - (21 Jul 2026)

EDUCATION

Delhi HC ruled that a child cannot be penalised for parents furnishing an incorrect date of birth to obtain school admission. While directing correction of the student's records and CBSE certificate, the Court imposed Rs.2 lakh costs on the parents for submitting false information.
