Gurugram Court Sentences IAF Veteran Over 'Coward' Remark Against Ex-Army Officer - (21 Jul 2026)

DEFENCE

Gurugram court awarded four months' imprisonment to a retired IAF Group Captain for referring to a former Deputy Army Chief as a "coward." It held that the statement damaged the decorated officer's reputation and amounted to defamation punishable under Section 500 IPC.
