Supreme Court: Employers Cannot Deny Compassionate Appointments Through Delays - (20 Jul 2026)

SERVICE

Supreme Court held that an employer cannot delay deciding a medical voluntary retirement application until the employee crosses the age limit and then deny compassionate appointment to the employee's dependent. It said such delays would unfairly defeat the purpose of a welfare scheme.
