Madras HC: Coordinate Bench Cannot Reopen Issue Already Settled by Another Division Bench - (17 Jul 2026)

Madras High Court has held that a Division Bench cannot disagree with the reasoning of another coordinate Bench on an issue already settled. It said a judgment of a Bench of equal strength remains binding unless overruled by a larger Bench or reversed by the Supreme Court.
