Supreme Court Acquits Three Men in 1979 Murder Case, Finding Serious Flaws in the Prosecution Case - (16 Jul 2026)

Supreme Court acquitted three men convicted in a 1977 Uttar Pradesh murder case, holding that the prosecution failed to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. It cited unexplained FIR delays, inconsistencies in its registration, and doubts over the presence of the alleged eyewitnesses.
