SC: Contractual Clauses Denying Interest on Security Deposits Does Not Violate Public Policy - (14 Jul 2026)
CONTRACT
Supreme Court held that a commercial contract clause denying interest on a security deposit is not unlawful or against public policy. Setting aside the Punjab and Haryana High Court's ruling, it reaffirmed that such contractual terms are valid unless they violate the law.
