Calcutta High Court: Joint Settlement of Liquor Licence is Allowed if All Eligible Heirs Consent - (13 Jul 2026)

Calcutta High Court upheld the joint settlement of a country spirit shop licence in favour of two eligible grandsons of the deceased licensee. It held that the applicable rules permit licences to one or more heirs and that prior experience is not a statutory requirement.
