Allahabad HC: Limitation Cannot be Extended Through Belated Representations or Letters - (09 Jul 2026)

LIMITATION

Allahabad HC ruled that repeatedly sending letters or delayed representations cannot extend the statutory limitation period unless the State acknowledges liability. It also held that writ petitions under Article 226 are generally not maintainable for recovery of disputed contractual monetary claims.
