Bombay High Court: Sikh Exemption From Helmet Rule is a Reasonable Classification under Article 14 - (02 Jul 2026)

CONSTITUTION

Bombay High Court held that the exemption granted to Sikhs from wearing helmets is a reasonable classification under Article 14 and not based on religion or caste, and thus does not violate fundamental rights. The Court dismissed a challenge to the exemption under Section 129 of the MVA.
