Jharkhand HC: Mother Cannot Consent to a Major Son's DNA Test During a Pending Matrimonial Case - (01 Jul 2026)

LAW OF EVIDENCE

Jharkhand High Court held that once a child attains majority during pending matrimonial proceedings, the mother cannot consent to a DNA test on his behalf, and an adult child cannot be compelled to undergo such testing, nor can adverse inference be drawn if he refuses.
