Delhi HC: Payment of ‘Pagri’ Does Not Render Tenancy Non-Terminable, Allowing Eviction - (19 Jun 2026)

TENANCY

Delhi High Court held that payment of pagri, a one-time amount paid to secure tenancy rights, does not make a tenancy non-terminable. The court clarified that it does not change the basic landlord-tenant relationship, and the landlord retains the right to terminate tenancy as per law.
