Whether a Life-Threatening Rescue by Cop Can be Treated as Routine Duty, Madhya Pradesh HC Clarifies - (16 Jun 2026)

Madhya Pradesh High Court held that a life-threatening rescue operation by a police officer cannot be treated as routine duty to deny him out-of-turn promotion, noting that he displayed extraordinary bravery by risking his life to save two persons trapped in a truck near a 200-feet gorge.
