SC: Daughter Doesn't Lose Ties With Natal Family After Marriage, Such Stereotype is Unconstitutional - (03 Jun 2026)

Supreme Court said the view that a married daughter ceases to belong to her parental family is a gender stereotype violating equality. It was noted in a case where a married daughter was denied compassionate appointment after her mother’s death under a 2019 UP order.
