J&K&L HC: NDPS Act Provisions Extending Investigation Time Apply to Narco-Terror Cases under UAPA - (03 Jun 2026)

NARCOTICS

Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court held that the NDPS Act, 1985 and UAPA, 1967 operate in distinct fields and must be harmoniously construed, and that Section 36A of the NDPS Act remains applicable even in narco-terror financing cases under UAPA alongside Section 48.
