Supreme Court Cautioned Against the Misuse of False POCSO Cases in Matrimonial Disputes - (01 Jun 2026)

CRIMINAL

SC raised concerns over the misuse of POCSO cases in matrimonial disputes, observing that estranged spouses sometimes use allegations against husbands and their relatives to gain leverage. The Court also cautioned against involving children in family conflicts through unsubstantiated claims.
