Supreme Court: Centre Must Consider State’s Views Before Rejecting All India Services Officer's VRS - (28 May 2026)

Supreme Court held that although voluntary retirement of All India Services officers requires Central Government approval, the Centre cannot reject a VRS application without considering the recommendation and views of the concerned State Government.
