SC: Severity of Injury Alone Cannot Prove Attempt to Murder Without Intent to Cause Death - (26 May 2026)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court observed that a conviction for attempt to murder cannot be sustained solely on the seriousness of the victim’s injuries unless the prosecution proves the accused had the intention or mens rea to cause death.
