Madras High Court: DNA Test Not Required For Mother to Donate Kidney to Her Son - (25 May 2026)

LAW OF MEDICINE

Madras High Court set aside a State Authorization Committee’s refusal to approve a mother’s kidney donation to her son, holding that she cannot be compelled to undergo a DNA test to prove biological relationship, and that rejection on lack of proof of kinship was unsustainable.
