SC: Landowners Cannot be Forced to Waive Statutory Compensation to Claim Other Benefits - (21 May 2026)

Supreme Court held that civic authorities cannot compel landowners to waive their statutory right to compensation as a condition for receiving other statutory benefits or amenities, as such rights cannot be surrendered through contractual terms.
