Patna High Court: Convict on Bail Can Still Seek Premature Release - (18 May 2026)

Patna High Court has held that a convict remains eligible to seek consideration for premature release even while on bail, as such eligibility is determined by the total period of sentence served rather than solely by the duration of physical custody or incarceration.
