Calcutta HC Stays Eastern Railway Eviction Drive Affecting Around 6,000 Slum Dwellers Near Station - (15 May 2026)

Calcutta High Court has stayed proceedings arising from the eviction notice concerning the Brace Bridge railway station area until 20 May 2026 or further orders, in a petition filed on behalf of nearly 6,000 slum dwellers living near the station.
