Supreme Court: Children Have a Fundamental Right to Receive Education in Their Mother Tongue - (13 May 2026)

CONSTITUTION

Supreme Court, while directing Rajasthan to introduce Rajasthani in schools and enable its use as a medium of instruction, held that Article 19(1)(a) includes a child’s right to receive primary education in a language of their choice.
