Supreme Court: Murder Accused Cannot Inherit Property of the Person Allegedly Killed - (11 May 2026)

PROPERTY

Supreme Court held that a person accused of murdering the deceased cannot inherit the deceased’s property, invoking Section 25 of the Hindu Succession Act, 1956, which bars anyone committing or abetting murder from claiming inheritance rights.
