SC: Consumers Cannot Bear Power Plant Depreciation Costs When No Electricity Was Supplied - (08 May 2026)
ELECTRICITY
In a major relief to electricity consumers, the Supreme Court held that consumers cannot be made to pay depreciation costs for a power plant that no longer supplies them electricity, even if the plant continues to have some remaining technical life.
