Delhi HC: Hymen Rupture is Not Required to Prove Penetrative Sexual Assault under the POCSO Act - (07 May 2026)

CRIMINAL

Delhi High Court held that hymen rupture is not necessary to prove penetrative sexual assault under the POCSO Act while upholding conviction of a man for assaulting a six-year-old, partly allowing appeal by reducing sentence from 20 to 14 years rigorous imprisonment.
