SC: Dowry Deaths Remain a Grave Social Issue, Especially in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Karnataka - (05 May 2026)

CRIMINAL

Calling dowry deaths a serious social problem, especially in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Karnataka, the Supreme Court cancelled a husband’s bail and set aside the Allahabad High Court order while hearing a father’s appeal in a case of alleged harassment and death within seven years of marriage.
