Supreme Court Outlines Principles Governing Exercise of Jurisdiction under Article 227 - (04 May 2026)

CONSTITUTION

Supreme Court reaffirmed that High Courts, under Article 227, cannot re-appreciate evidence or act as appellate courts; their role is limited to ensuring subordinate courts act within jurisdiction and that findings are not perverse or unreasonable.
