J&K&L HC: Routine Challenges to Lok Adalat Awards Defeat Their Purpose of Quick Dispute Resolution - (29 Apr 2026)

Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has observed that frequent challenges to Lok Adalat awards lead to unnecessary writ petitions and waste judicial time, stressing that the purpose of Lok Adalats speedy, amicable, and cost-effective dispute resolution gets defeated by such routine challenges.
