Allahabad HC Imposes Rs 15L Costs on Husband For Filing False Affidavits in Maintenance Proceedings - (24 Apr 2026)

Allahabad High Court imposed Rs 15 lakh costs on a husband who filed false affidavits in a Section 144 BNSS maintenance plea against his employed wife, noting he misrepresented himself as unemployed despite working as an advocate and had also compelled her to take loans for his benefit.
