Delhi High Court: Judges Cannot Respond Publicly; Criticism Must Be Responsible and Evidence-Based - (22 Apr 2026)

CONTEMPT OF COURT

Delhi High Court observed that criticism of judges must be responsible and supported by cogent evidence, noting that judges cannot defend themselves publicly, particularly on social media, and therefore any allegations or criticism must be well-founded as they have no means to respond publicly.
