SC: Employees Appointed Without Advertisement or Interview Cannot be Regularised - (20 Apr 2026)

Supreme Court held that contractual or ad hoc employees appointed without public advertisement or interview cannot be regularised under a State policy. It struck down Haryana’s 2014 notifications that sought to regularise certain employees completing or nearing 10 years of service.
