SC: Fines Also Run Concurrently When Sentences For Multiple Offences Run Concurrently - (09 Apr 2026)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court held that when sentences for multiple offences run concurrently, fines cannot be imposed separately for each. Any fine imposed as part of punishment for multiple offences must also run concurrently with the prison sentences, not individually.
