Delhi HC: Promises by CM at Press Conferences are Not Legally Enforceable Without Policy Support - (07 Apr 2026)

Delhi High Court held that a Chief Minister’s promise made during a press conference is not legally enforceable without formal policy or statutory backing and cannot be enforced through a writ of mandamus in the absence of any legal liability.
