Supreme Court: Dowry Harassment and Domestic Abuse Persist, Showing Patriarchy Still Prevails - (06 Apr 2026)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court observed that crimes against women remain widespread despite decades of reforms, schemes and judicial efforts, noting that continued domestic violence and gender-based crimes reflect a deeply entrenched patriarchal social order.
