Calcutta HC Confirms KMC Can Revise Property Valuation to Levy Tax In ?11.24 Crore Dispute - (27 Mar 2026)

CONSTITUTION

Calcutta High Court upheld Section 3 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2022, ruling that the amendment, which expanded and retrospectively validated KMC’s power to revise property valuations, is constitutionally valid and does not impermissibly override judicial decisions.
